I’m not gonna sugar coat it. Prices are about to get worse. When the cost of diesel goes up, so does the rest of the world. It is required for transporting all goods, meats, produce, literally everything runs on diesel. So with it hitting record highs? Get ready for groceries to soar.
My job is not to be gentle with yous. It’s to make sure you are equipped and prepared to navigate these tough financial times to the best of your ability. It’s to give you not only the recipes, but the tools to save money literally anywhere you can. Yes, things are going to get tougher. But I promise you, you have the ability to do more than you think to help keep your costs down.
This recipe embodies that idea. An incredibly flavorful dish, complex, delicious yet super cheap and wildly simple to make. The homemade pita, which we have done before, is just a simple reminder that you can take those cheap pantry ingredients and do a lot with them.
I can’t improve the economy. I can’t directly impact prices. What I can do is show you what you CAN do in the meantime. So buckle up everyone, it's gonna get rocky.
But as always, let's lean on one another and get through this bullshit.
