I am a huge advocate for condiments. Think of the variety, the flavors, even the packaging can be fun. But if you look at the price of your favorite condiments, especially name brands, they are wildly overpriced.

Did you know a jar of mayo that contains 15 oz of mayo costs less than a squeeze bottle of mayo that contains only 11 oz of mayo? We willingly pay more money for less product. Now look at the name brands vs. some of the generic options… DOUBLE THE PRICE!

I guarantee that you have the ingredients at home to make several classic condiments right now. At the very least, start to make your own mayo. Not only is it so cheap and so easy, it tastes so much better than any mayo that you would buy at the store, and I'm not exaggerating.

It’s a great overall lesson. We’ve been trained to choose convenience over cost, the easy route. It’s time you started to do things yourself.
