Much like bread, pizza dough tends to intimidate people. Myself included. Watching pizza makers toss the dough above their head, seeing the science of dough hydration and humidity; the process overall seemed far too technical to tackle.
But then I started messing with some different recipes. If we can figure out how to make our 4-ingredient bread then there HAS to be a way to do the same with pizza dough. It took some serious trial and error but I finally got the measurements right.
The result? Pizza dough that is ready to go after just 30 minutes.
Why was I so adamant about getting this right? Because store-bought pre-made dough is trash. Bake-at-home pizzas are fine but at the point I’d rather just get a full pie from my favorite pizza shop.
Making pizzas at home has become an event. Since learning this simple technique, my family and I roll our own dough when we’re making pizzas and now you can too!
Stop letting dough scare you. You’re better than that.
