Convenience is a major factor in all of our kitchens. Let’s face it, after a long day at work or with the kids, the LAST thing you wanna do is cook an elaborate meal. Thanks to one-pan dinners, there are lots of options to speed up the process.
Now the important thing to note, convenience does not mean you need to sacrifice flavor. I would argue the opposite. If you’re going to make a quick and easy dinner, at least take the time to develop the flavors as much as you possibly can.
Why is that so important? Because if it’s good, you’ll eat it again. You can chalk it up to one of your go-tos. If you rush it and it sucks… you just eliminated a recipe from your arsenal.
This translates across the board in the kitchen. At the end of the day, it all comes down to flavors. You remember the best thing you’ve ever eaten. You probably don’t remember cooking it. So do you and your taste buds a favor. Nail the steps so that your one-pan dinner rocks.
Because I do get it. Some nights we just don’t have it in us to go all out and sauté, deglaze, sear, and simmer for 2 hours.

1-2 lbs of salmon (whole or cut into fillets)
2 tbsp Dijon
3-4 tbsp soy sauce
6 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sesame oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
Sesame seeds
Ground black pepper to taste
1 lb green beans
