With our gameday series off and running, this buff chix dip is by far my favorite iteration I’ve ever had. We’re putting a little Philly spin on it with some Cooper Sharp and some crushed Herr’s chips on top. It’s creamy, spicy, all of your favorite notes of a buffalo chicken dip. With a twist.
Old Bay is one of those flavors that is delightful when used correctly. It’s a fine line between “oh that's delish” and “ew way too much Old Bay,” but when you hit that perfect ratio, it adds such a great flavor and depth to any dish.
I’ll be honest, this recipe came directly from trying to figure out a DC dish that Philly could do better since the Birds are playing the Commanders this week. All I could come up with was Chesapeake Bay… Old Bay… ok let's use Old Bay better than them.
Guess what? I did. This is a top-tier gameday app that will be gone before kickoff. Plus, it’s cheap as hell and it takes about 5 minutes of actual work.
Go Birds.
